Roshni’s Bio:
Roshni D. Lal has dedicated over 20 years to educating and serving various populations in higher education, K-12, museums, and the U.S. military. In her current role as the Assistant Director for Alumni Career Services, West Coast with Syracuse University, she lives out her passion for providing people with career enhancement and professional development experiences through a DEI lens. Prior to her role with Syracuse University, she served as the Director for Career Planning & Employer Relations with Marymount California University where she was also taught career courses and served on the university’s first DEI committee. In her previous roles, she has designed exhibitions and educational programming for the Smithsonian Institute and the National Institutes of Health, traveled to colleges to promote internships in D.C. with The Washington Center, and served as a civilian Career Counselor in Seoul, South Korea for U.S. military service members. Roshni is from the Los Angeles area and has earned a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Scandinavian Studies from UCLA, an M.A. in Museum Studies from The George Washington University, and an M.A. in Education from Claremont Graduate University. She is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Higher Education from CGU.
